OSHA Regulations

Compliance with the vast and varied OSHA Regulations can be a strain on any business, but non-compliance can be even more costly. Any overhead crane, jib or gantry crane, or hoist used in a business is subject to compliance with OSHA regulations.

Fortunately, we have the experience to install new equipment that meets or exceeds the OSHA regulations. And our years of experience will keep you in compliance when we perform the inspections and any repairs needed on your present equipment.

OSHA Regulations include the following:
OSHA Regulation (Section 1910.179) requires overhead crane operators to conduct a daily safety check of their hoists or cranes prior to use at the beginning of each shift during which a crane is used. All cab-operated cranes are required to have an emergency means of egress. All overhead cranes and hoists must be labeled with an A.N.S.I. warning tag.

All hoists must be load tested to meet compliance with OSHA current federal standards.
(Section 1910.179)

A thorough inspection of all wire ropes must be made at least once a month. and a certification record which includes the date of inspection, the signature of the person who performed the inspection and an identifier for the ropes that were inspected must be kept readily available for appointed personnel

Written documentation reports are required on inspections and service.
